Thanks for the info, I knew there was a difference, but did not know the cut-off years. Since i have the 1948 and 1951 Suburbans, mine are of the first design. I know the spring locks changed in I believe 1954 too. The only repro's out there are for the 1947/53 style. It looks like I am getting healthier, so that means more burb time and I am compiling these differences in photos for future reference.
