I soaked it,tapped it, soaked, tapped, soaked and tapped till it was free enough to work it back and forth with my fingers. It wasn't floppy loose so I soaked and tapped and broke my weight off DOOOH!!!!!! After tring to find one I took it to my machine shop guy and had him weld the thing open and braze the weight back on for looks. As you I live in the mid south (east Texas) and I don't think it will be a problem.
