Bet that's what it was Tim, unless it was a piece of the center bracket for one of those cow-catcher bumper guards.
I'm gonna make up a dozen or so of these crank brackets. I ordered enough material to make a bunch of extras, I like to keep some on the shelf in case I run into someone else that wants one. I even found an outfit locally that does plating and I might see if it's practicle to have them plated.
