Hey Pete, I sympathize with you, vendors make mistakes, they're just human. But when they won't fess up to it and just take your money that just taint right. There is obviously something drastically wrong with the batch that he sent you.
Like Bill said, we can expect to make some minor adjustments especially to a new body part but to tell you that you have to reform the shape of the fender to make it fit is absolutely ridiculous, I've never heard of anything like that. That would be akin to telling you to take a hammer and dolly to a new steel fender and reform it to fit because it was out of shape by a 1 1/2".
