Well, if it was perhaps a heavier duty engine, that would add up... the guy who just did my valves told me that they were larger than what he had seen on other 216s, and that he had a hard time finding them.
The truck is a 3100 1/2 ton though. Maybe it was re-engined from another (bigger) truck. There sure seems to be alot of variability to these things... I am fairly new to all this and still learning.
I guess if the engine number is different than the tag number on the door jamb I will know for sure. I'll take a look when the sun comes up.
