I am new to Stovebolt and I have a question about the motor that I have taken apart. There are no oil nozzles in the oil pan. The oil pump goes straight into the block. Am I missing something? It is a 235 from 1958-1960 truck I believe. It had a recent (?) rebuild with new .030 over pistons and such.
I removed the engine just to restore the engine bay and dress up the motor in my 1950 styleline, not to fix anything since nothing was broken. All cylinders were 120-130 compression and just a very little white puff of smoke when starting. But as the story goes. " While I was there" I decided to look at the internals. The entire inside of the engine looks great.
Do I have a problem? Any reference info would be great.
Thanks for any help.

Thanks Baldy.
What has me confused is the manual for 1958-1962
235 ci engines show a set of oil nozzles. see picture linked.

How do you check that all oil passages are flowing freely?
