I need some suggestions for a reliable source for a rebuilt carb. I have a '54 235 with a carter YF 2100S that is in need of rebuilding or replacing. Ive purchased two rebuild kits so far. The first being for a Rochester, my error here. And the second for the Carter but this one won't work because the brass float valve body is significantly taller than the original making the float impossible to adjust. I'm giving up and looking for a remanufactured one instead. Does anyone have a recommendation? Is the Carter really much better than the original Rochester? The only modifications have been 12 volts and an electronic ignition. Thanks
Josh '54 3600
