#62191 06/26/2006 2:11 AM | Joined: Nov 2005 Posts: 1,048 'Bolter | | 'Bolter Joined: Nov 2005 Posts: 1,048 | It sounds like your thermostat is stuck part way open (not totally unusual) Slow warn up indicates it is not closing all the way, and high running temperature indicates it is not opening fully. Your engine should run with 10 degrees or so of the temperature stamped on the ‘stat. You might try taking it out and placing it in a pan of boiling water, it should open fully and then close completely a few minutes after removing it. | | |
