No limitations. All the advantages of HVLP with none of the liabilities of using a compressor (especially in a high-humidity location). It worked well with high-quality and lower-quality PPG auto paint.
One factor that has to be kept in mind is that the turbine air is warmer than compressor air - a good auto-paint vendor should be able to recommend the right reducer.
