We went to look at a 1941 216cid engine last weekend. The doctor is in favor of returning his 41 to origional condition. It now has a 56 235. The 216 runs without any abnormal noise. The plan is to take the 216 straight to my old machinest guy to have him swap out the cast iron pistons and babbit rods with insert rods and aluminum pistons. What I need is a info on paint for the block and heads. I could realy use some pictures of the engine as it was in 1941. Also the 216 has floor mount starter pedal, did this truck ever have a floor mount starter pedal?
