I have a 55' 235 out of a car that I put a t-5 behind . The truck ( 1962 c-10 ) had a 3 speed from a 57 truck that was working well so I just replaced the clutch disc . there are many clutch discs that will fit as the splines of the old 3 speed and the t-5 are the same , but the 83-84 firebird clutch disc was the larger ( 9-9/16 ) and the cheapest . It was less than 30 bucks at auto zone ! I put this package together about 2 months ago and I drive the truck every day , Its working great ! Good luck .
