The grille on my '46 is original and it shows two wear marks on the upper rail of the upper grille. I questioned this with the previous owner and he told me the original owner, from SD, had a radiator cover attached for a number of seasons. His radiator cover could have been an aftermarket product that cover both lower and upper grilles?
