The 292 will fit but with a lot of work. You need new motor mount brackets, move the radiator forward a few inches, clutch linkage, throttle linkage, and a bunch of small stuff, but it will be a great engine for your 51. With the right bell housing you will be able to use the stock rear engine mounts.
