Ya sure, put your battery in an envelope and send it to me in Sweden. I would at least use it till it gives up. Then it would still work fine as a wheel chock.
It is probably in one of those threads, but I am running an 8 volt, not really by choice, but it has not presented any problems, not even burned out bulbs. If you go back to 6 volts, you will still need to check that the PO did not adjust the regulator for the 8 volt battery. Check to see what the running voltage is (8 volt battery needs a little above 9 volts at high idle). Or if your electric gauge while running the 8 volt battery never shows a charge - never sits on the plus side - then it is probably still regulating at the 6 volt setting (a little above 7 volts at high idle)
