You guys have helped me on so many issues, i thought i would share some photos of the progress made by my neighbor and mechanic.
http://www.flickr.com/photos/union4487/sets/72157623384031468/ Hes currently prepping the exhaust and intake manifolds for painting, then he will install the new rocker shaft arms, then the valve cover and plugs and air filter.
He had the manifolds blasted and he drilled out three of the old broken bolts coming out of the exhaust manifold and block, etc.
I do need to know if there is anywhere we can get a new 216
exhaust damper assembly? The current shaft has worn itself away after so many years that there is too much play and not tight enough of a fit with the exhaust manifold.
After that, the transmission... hoping not to find any major issues there. Thanks again for your help with everything.
