thanks for the replies,I didnt think that the engine I have was the original. Yes it does have four bolts holding the valve cover, I have the casting numbers from the cylinder head and I managed to decode that as a 59. I will check on the block casting numbers and post it with the head numbers in a day or so.
I guess that it would have had a low pressure 235 originally?
or a 216?
