I would do a chemecal bath on that old iron,a freind of mine did ,took his front end,fenders and inner fenders to a bath place and it came out great after I saw his stuff I wish I would have done the same, I took all the paint off with a drill and paint removing pads it came out good ,right down to bear metal but it took a long time and alot of work ,his stuff looks like new and did not remove any metal.
