A lot of the fans hit the lower pulley and must be tweaked to keep from hitting. Usually, depending on the fan you have, all it takes is a slight forward bending to clear. Patrick's sells a fan for his short pump that is supposed to clear. I used one from a 56' Chev car and tweaked it.
