If the trucks are parked next to each other, the numbers would probably be a 2-6 feet from each other for most sizes of trucks.
Seriously, what year trucks are you referring to? USA Chevrolet and GMC VIDs (on the plates on the cab, between the hinges on the driver's side) are distinctively different.
