SDJoe - I used a '78 full size Blazer rear end in my '50 3100 (Walter) and it worked very well. It is very close to the orginal width and it has the same 6 lug pattern as the original. We just needed to weld new spring pads and, of course, change over to an open driveshaft transmission. For what it's worth...
