| | | | Joined: Feb 2001 Posts: 4,095 'Bolter | | 'Bolter Joined: Feb 2001 Posts: 4,095 | I will address the carbs. i have dual carbs on my 54/235 with fenton headers and 2.73 rear end and a t-5 overdrive tranny. your gas milage will suffer until you are in overdrive. i drove to Kansas City in sept. and got a high of 23.5 and an average of 20 mpg. i have cruise and drove a lot at 65-70. around town i get 12-13. i wish i had gone the auto route but when i started the rebuild it was to be a freshening and got out of hand. i never intended to spend the money i did, a auto would not have been out of place. ron
