Simply put, it's makes everything so much easier form starting to lighting. I converted my Two 1947 Willys jeeps and I'll never go back! I keep my vehicles period except for the 12v conversion. 12v items are less expensive than the 6v counterparts. The 46 truck needs to be rewired as the old is in pretty bad shape. If I'm going to rewire, then I'll go ahead and convert.
