Hy CLAYCROGHAN, I believe the 62 powerglide is still a cast iron housing transmission, if it is, it will have a small adapter at the engine end, you could swap adapters for one from a V8 powerglide of the same vintage, you will have to find a V8 powerglide flywheel as the 235 flywheel will not fit the V8. If your 62 powerglide has an aluminum housing it will not bolt up to the V8, hope that helps.
