alum p/g was not in production until 63.
you need a p/glide from a 283 in 62 to fit a later 283

Then explain to me why my brothers 62 Impala had an V8 w/a Alum PG in it & he bought it from the original owner and so did my 62 Nova w/a 6 cylinder. Both were air cooled PG, no trans lines...Joe
