Like wrenchbender said, I don't think a hydaulic setup would be any easier. If you don't use the truck for pulling heavy loads all the time, you may be able to put a smaller clutch. You most likely have the 11" clutch in there now, and a 10" would probably do all you need. Alot of the flywheels were drilled for both patterns, you could drop the dust cover and see if yours has both. Just a thought. Best of luck.
