Changing to hydraulic wont help. The pressure plate is probably too stout. The rebuilt ones we used to get you never knew what they were going to be like. Practically all clutches we gewt now are new & more consistant. There is 2 grooves in the clutch fork. If you use the outer one you can gain some leverage. Check all the linkage to make sure its not wore out.
