If you have a grease weep problem, you need to replace your inner seals. There is a grease shield on the inside that catches any grease weep and directs it out of the brake drum area. There is a hole in the drum and hub that will be lined up to allow any junk to run out of the drum area. There is no reason to separate the hub and drum unless the drum needs to be replaced. In that case they work just fine without being riveted together. Just make sure the grease shield is in place, and the holes are lined up. The shield is held in place by the lug studs.
