I believe all these trucks originally had the drums riveted, but over the years many [even most] have had the rivets removed to replace drums or hubs - not needed .... and that "gasket" is just a piece of paper, not a seal - won't make any difference for keeping grease in, but not using an excess of grease can make a difference, it's common to find waaay too much grease in home maintained trucks .... also make sure the inside seal is sound
