I just pulled the 216 out of my 40 PU. I plan on putting in a 235 I have. After removing the clutch & pressure plate, I started wondering why the bell housing doesn't have all bolts accesable from the outside? You have to fight taking the clutch & pressure plate out and remove the flywheel just to get to the bolts on the bellhousing. I need to bellhousing to make the swap and have to take everything apart just to get the bellhousing. I probably will reuse the clutch & pressure plate, though, because they are new. It would be easier with the bellhousing off first. Just whining a little, I guess.
