On my newly rebuilt 235 the oil pressure guage (original) pegs at idle and high RPM. I haven't scrounged up another guage yet to check against it but I was wondering if there is some kind of relief valve in the pump. The pump is brand new. I'd rather have too much than not enough.I was wondering if it is a relief valve problem could I try using my drill with screwdrier bit in the dizzy hole and run it in reverse to shake things up ? I want to avoid dropping the pan if possible. I'm lucky enough to not have any leaks now so I'm not looking to create any. thanks
