I'm going along pretty good on my 49 GMC 1/2 ton. Next thing I want to do is to upgrade my front brakes to disks. I have a donor truck which is a 77 GMC 1/2 ton. I swapped rear ends and now have the 77 rear end in the 49. My question is do I have to buy the complete disk brake conversion kit for the front, or can I buy the basic kit and use the rest of the parts from the front disk setup from my 77 GMC? Seems to me they should work cause I already have the rear end from the 77 in. Thanks.
