When I put on my old pump pulley, the rear edge of the pulley hits the metal of the pump housing at the bottom of the water outlet location near the casting number. The casting number of my old pump and the rebuilt pump are the same (3736567) but the old pump shaft is about 1/2" longer than the rebuilt one which effectively moves the pulley and fan a bit further away from the pump and towards the radiator. It's in a GMC truck so I don't have the issue with radiator clearance. Distance from pump shaft seal to end of the shaft on my old pump is appx 1.5". Rebuilt pump dimension is appx 1". Anyone had a problem with this before? | | |
