Hello all, I need some help, I have a 62 gmc with a 305 commercial in it, when I got it it would backfire and to get up on RPM's you would have to accelerate very very slow to engage the clutch to get it to go down the street, I figured it was the carburator as for the owner told me it was never touched, I had a professional rebuild the WW Stromburg and he said it was the first rebuild on it, I put it back on exactly as it came off and cleaning the intake and applying a skim layer of gasket sealer on both sides of the gasket to ensure no leaks, however the truck dose not want to run now, I have a fresh battery, I have good spark, to prime it I put about 2 shot glasses worth of fuel in it untill I knew the pot was full then used starting fluid, I am getting fuel in the carb. from the jet valves, fuel pump works, compression check has all cyl. at around 3 lbs. difference except 1 at 7 lbs. low, the dist. cap is new and so is rotor, wires are ok so are plugs ( I drove it home )but now not 1 cylinder tried to fire off so I'm stumped, any ideas? Thank you in advance for answers, Todd
