My 51 GMC has the same valve, it jst unscrewed from the tank, I beleive it's 1/8 pipe thread, I sand blasted it and cleaned it with carb cleaner to rmove any sand or junk that was inside , looks brand new, I ordered the new hose from The truck Shop for $10,,,
