The truck in the picture appears to be about a 1950 model. 235 was Chev's biggest offering for that year. The 261 did not appear until 1954. A 235 would pull a single axle trailer...just not very fast. That's why drivers drove day and night to get somewhere and many of them bounced pills off the windshield to stay awake.
