I believe swapping a 1-ton front axle onto a 1-1/2 truck would be possible. The spring pads and spring widths match.
True, can be done as simple as that. the axle I have under my 2 ton I first put under the 1 ton.
As for rear, the spring pad center to center distance is a total of 1/2" wider on a 1.5 and 2 ton than a 1 ton truck. It's a function of 2" or 2.5" springs and the little 1/2" thick spacers in the shackles and spring hangers.
