Not sure about '59 but the earlier 3/4 ton trucks had a narrower frame than the 1/2 tons.
If '59 trucks are the same then the line from the tank to the frame would be a bit shorter before it makes it's bend to fit the frame rail.
Is that what you're noticing when you try to match them up?
