If you want to keep everything stock, assuming 1/2 ton torque tube, for a 53, your only option is the replacement ring and pinion gears. For this set up, your only option is 3.55 gearing in your original rearend. If 3/4 ton, option are different. If 1/2 ton 4 speed, you can keep tranny, but go to open driveline with different rearend with some modifications and fabrication. If three speed, 1/2 ton, you will need new tranny if you want to switch rear ends, I guess what I am saying is, what do you have?
