Make certain that the glass is the same size as the old glass! I recently bought rear glass from Jim Carter, and spent 3 hours trying to get it installed, with my son's help. Finally, we got wise, and laid it over the old window, which was cracked but intact. It was 1/4" to 1/8" larger all around than the original glass. I took the old one to a local glass company, and had one cut to match the size exactly. It took about 20 minutes to install the properly sized one...we had quite a bit of practice by that time.Also, invest n the little tool to install the center rubber strip...it makes that simple, and lowers the chance of breaking your glass. Note: Jim Carter issued a return authorization for the improper sized piece.
