If I got a fleetside bumper with brackets, can I mount it upside down so the dip is on the bottom?

The shape won't really allow for that without looking goofy, as the top and bottom are shaped differently. The top lays back further, upside down would leave a large gap at the top.
I wasn't 100% sure if they were the same between Step and Fleet. All the suppliers only have 1 listing.
