Bill, first welcome. Your question is going to be hard to answer because we all have different opinions as to what's safe and qualifies as a daily driver. I suggest you keep looking for someones unfinished project that already has the modifications you want but needs to be "finished". Just my 2 cents. Others will chime in soon.
