Hey y'all, got a couple questions.
First, I just pulled at 1986 292 out of a truck (it runs fine and the tranny is good.) I plan on cleaning it up and putting on an engine stand to store when the time comes I need to work on the engine that is in my truck currently. What do I need to do to effectively store it for a while in a unheated shed? Do I need to do anything to the tranny? Also the engine is caked with oil, grease and grime, any suggestions to clean it? would a power washer do more harm than good?
Second I'm not sure whether or not I'm going to drive my truck this winter. (I may not but still want to fire it up to drive it and tune it.) Any suggestions as to what to do with it? It will be stored outside in my driveway with a cover purchased from lmc truck.
Third, I'm waiting to get my gas tank back from the hot tank cleaning and need to know how difficult it is to seal the inside? Any pointers or tips? Or suggestions of what products to use?
