When I re-did my brakes on my '47 1/2 ton, one of the wheel cylinders was almost seized. Turns out that someone had put in cups that were too large for the cylinder(1 and 1/4 inch instead of 1 and 3/16 inch)Maybe something to check.
It's a small world, but I wouldn't want to paint it.
