I'm currently looking at a 72 chevy c60. The guy is selling it for 500.00. He has done absolutly nothing to this truck to get it running. I stopped out for 2 days in a row to get it started. It has a 366 with a 465 trans. It is not in an area where we could pop the clutch. The only way we could get it to turn over was to hook up two new batteries in series to make 24v. He swears its only been sitting a year or two, but the plates expired in 1999. Is there anyone with experiance in getting 366 motors started after sitting for 2+ years? I would love to get this truck, and know where body panels are to fix up the body, but if I can't get it running its like a 250.00 tow bill ontop of the truck's price. All input is valued as I am not farmiliar with these vehicles.
why me?!
