Sometimes you just know you aren't going to finish a project vehicle. Since vehicle projects are major time/money/space investments, make certain you want to spend your time/money/space working on the specific vehicle you are considering. If it doesn't pass this first test, sell it, you won't ever "get to it".
I have an old '51 plymouth suburban that I wanted to do that I have lost all interest in. It was on deck, but then I found a '53 chevy truck and the plymouth is still on deck. And now I find myself watching chevy suburbans and needing space, so that poor plymouth's gonna have to go. One man's trash, as the saying goes...
