yes I was refering to the clutch disc. Sorry. and no , there were no markings on the disc to tell me which side, hence the confusion. I put it in with the long or " tall" side facing the flywheel. It does lay flat. Just want to make sure. I can't check it by depressing the clutch to see if it will release because the engine assembly is not in the truck but rather on a dolly on the floor.
