tclederman Bubba - Curmudgeon Joined: Sep 2001 Posts: 29,269 Jarvisburg, NC, USA	As long as you do not have a 1958-1962 261 engine (with 1/2" NPT oil lines), and your 216/235/261 engine has not been converted to a full-flow oil filtration system, you can run your engine with or without a by-pass oil filter. Tim Tim 1954Advance-Design.com 1954 3106 Carryall Suburban 1954 3104 5-window pickup w/Hydra-Matic The 216 and early 235 engines are not "splash oilers" -- this is a splash oiler.
