you could do what Jeep wagoneers did. it was a vynal stick on. and they used a special 3M adhesive to apply it to the body. a pain in the a** to get off. but im sure you want real wood. just throwing in my 2 cents
That stuff dates back at least to the mid '50s as far as automotive use goes. Many companies used it in place of genuine wood trim for station wagons, although some did use a real wood framing around the "wood" Di-Noc parts.
