| | | | Joined: Sep 2007 Posts: 56 Wrench Fetcher | | Wrench Fetcher Joined: Sep 2007 Posts: 56 | I had Hooker headers on my'65 230 and had them removed due to poor fuel consumption. The original intake manifold is bolted to the exhaust manifold to heat the fuel for this side-draft configuration. The single barrel carb would not function properly without the heat, so I removed the headers and it works much better. Just a thought for consideration before you invest the money...
