you are correct as to not swap cams cause the fuel pump is located in a different area. 292's between #3 & 4 cylinders. heads yes - 192 heads are 57cc, rods no, harmonic balancer no, water pump puts out more volumn on 292 and can be swapped. The 292 is 1.75'' taller. The side pushrod covers are 2 piece & 6'' on 292. The valve train is different between the L6 and V8's even though the specs are close.
